This is a great project car. Needs a new top and head gasket but body is in FANTASTIC shape. Interior is in fair shape as well. If anyone is interested I could snap some photos. She wants $500 for it.

Is it Gas or Diesel? Any idea what the gas milage is on it when it ran?

It's gas, as for the gas milage on it I don't know for absolute sure as I have never driven it. However my RabbitG which is the same car minus the convertable top gets 27 to 31 depending on how froggy I feel on any given day.

dang. Ok. Looking for something with 40+ mpg. I heard the diesel rabbits got that.

When there were brand new "MAYBE";-) I have a couple friends that have Diesel rabbits and the get no where near that MPG but I have never driven one so I cant say.
No really...I do it for a living.

I had a diesel in a caddy that I got 58mpg in
there are a few tricks
I ran about 45mph
ran tire pressure at 42psi
took my time accelerating
if I ran it 65mph I got around 32
