  • Time to make the doughnuts....
does it run yet?

how does it look with the motor in it?

does it sit where you wanted it too after you lowered it?
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

Still on jack stands, have the heaters to hook up and a couple of odds and ends. still need to tweak the front and make sure it will drive straight.

Should have it on the ground and running by the weekend. I hope...

Who did the tin painting? What kind of paint is it?

It's pretty- I may have to do something like that with the engine I'm building.

I painted it thank you :) It's just from a rattle can, I could have taken a little more time and would look better up close. As long as you take the time up front to degrease the tin and rough it up the paint should stick. Hard to see in the picture but it's a metallic paint with silver flake.
I think the split tube did a lot for the look but I am not sure how well it will hold up. It may be that I only put it on there when I go to show the car :o
The fire wall blanket is not as clean looking as the tar board but it's so much thicker (it's about 0.5" think.) and I wanted to deaden the noise that gets in to the cab. So I think this will really help.

So it runs and it moves along fine.
Had to replace the front tires didn't like the rubbing on the fenders every time I stopped the car.

Wife and I went for a brake in run and let the motor burn off the assembly lube. Think i should leave the heat disconnected until that stuff is done smoking. I think I used too much on the P&C.

Oil change and valve adjustment and I should be good to go.

It's close... had a few spits here and there but I think I can bring that down. some lag off the line :) not sure how to set the accelerator pump or if it is even that.
I need to dial it in a little more before I go digging to much.

They are a heck of a lot better then I ever got with the 44's on there.
