Swapmeet

I went to the swapmeet today for about 3-4 hours, I only attended the one at the Expo center and made it through about 1/4-1/2 and unfortunantly, I didn't see much in the way of bugs. I didn't go to the one next door at the track but maybe they will have some stuff there or the other part of the Expo. Just my input.

When I have gone in the past, I had to look in the boxes under the tables to find the Volkswagen stuff.  Seems many of them hod rod guys have kids that had VW's and left all their cr@p in the garage and now it's up to them to get rid of it.  There are some good deals to be had, but I think it requires some searching.

we went to the half at the track and found some vw stuff but nothing to get excited about lots a stock carbs and other stuff of unimportance.  there was a couple of ghias,one dune buggie, one fasty, and 2-3 bugs for sale.

one guy had some transmissions and a set of webbers and a pair of single barrel dell'ortos.  other than that it was all hot rod stuff.

i picked up a couple of things and was always asked what i was doing with that mismatched stuff?  they generally didnt like what my awnser was of it might end up on a bug.

Wasnt able to go like I though. I was getting ready to leave when the wife reminded me of our daughters Soccer game.. <sigh>
