Ok Todd, looks like Peter and I are swapping.  He also is giving me a stock distributor with all new points, rotor and cap.  That flamethrower setup will not work in the stock distributor will it?  Also peter made a good point about painting the firewall while we had everything out.  What do you think of firewall tin?  would that be easier?  I have not heard back from Peter but we might just plan on meeting at D&M on Monday afternoon to do the exchange.  Would that be okay with you?

Panting the engine compartment is outside the scope of what I do at work, but that would be a great Shop Day for the club it would only take a couple hours some pizza and beer to get er done.
No really...I do it for a living.

If you want to keep noise down, then avoid the engine compartment tin.  Pick up the sound deadener from discount, heat it up, and put it in.  It is held in by bendable tabs on the firewall.
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

I'm back from my trip and ended up NOT having any internet access.  So, it appears that peter and randy have worked out a deal.  I assume there is no need to go on a treasure hunt in the garage?

I think Randy still needs an Oil Wash air filter.

Yeah Duane, Peter and I have been able to work out a deal but I do still need an oil wash air filter.  Would you maybe have one of those?  Thanks for the offer though.  Talk to ya monday at work.
