I have a 69 Ghia that I purchased before I got into the sand stuff. Originally intented on using it as my DD and did in fact do that for a year.

What it needs...

Some minor bodywork (Dent on passenger side front quarterpanel above tire)
Paintjob.
Interior redone.

What I have done:
It has complete new brakes on the front plus rotors. Has about 1000 miles on them.
New tires put on when I did the brakes above.
New glovebox.

It's got 3/4 of the car a rattlecan metallic blue paint. Rest is primer.

Needs a complete redo on the interior.

Runs like a champ. Has either a 1500 or 1600 cc single port motor. I havent run the s/n on the motor to find out which.

Solid car that just needs TLC to finish it up. If interested I can provide pics this weekend after I take some with my camera. I just have WAY too many projects and need to step away from some. I dont have to sell it, but realize I am probably a few years away from seriously getting back to it.

$2000 firm.

Hey Ryan, I've been working on a 69 for about a year and it needed a ton of body and rust repair. Sounds like yours is pretty minor and would not take a lot to have a nice little criuser. I think your price is good and should no problem turning it. HEY, WHERE WAS YOU AT LAST YEAR,DANG IT!LOL.

I suppose I would entertain the idea. But the idea was to get a car out of my driveway. Heh. I've got too many as it is already. <grin> Plus the cash would help with the vacation planned this year.

Hey, well I just finished uploading pics of my Bug which I took about an hour ago in the lot of the asphalt refinery I work at. It is in pretty good condition. You could always make into one of your Of course it would be all ready for you to chop up and customize into something sell-able...

Oh! I forgot to mention that it pops out of fourth gear... HAH OOPS! Kind of a big deal actually...

You coming out Friday night? You could see it then... I am equally like, Hmm I dunno...  :? I love your Ghia- Iwould like to have cosmetic work to do instead of always spending my energy on immediate and necessary engine repairs/fixes...

Well she is gone. A small tear left my eye as the new owner pulled away. It went to a good home I think though.

I know where you're coming from brother. Been there a time or two (but you'd never tell by looking at my yard).

Ryan, I guess I shoulda decided I wanted a ghia sooner, huh?
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?
