Not to be a critic, but in the picture it looks like you painted the CV Boot? If you did,,,your planning on changing those right? and if you didn't and it just appears that way \ then disregard this post...Just sayin'

why are painted cv boots bad?  enquiring minds want to know.

My thought... paint on a flexible petroleum based product makes them stiff dry and causes them to crack.

Did I guess correctly?

SMUG got it right on the head. No Paint, No Carb Cleaner, Brake Cleaner, and even engine oil will cause premature Boot failure.

Yea, i have 4 new cv boots to put on that but thanks for noticing!  :)

no time for many meetings, been real busy working and fixing the bug before the season is over.

Update! Body on the pan and all bolted on! Now to put it all back together!!
