He has been out there almost every day turning wrenches with me.

  Simply awesome!  Love seeing kids turning wrenches.    Nice....

(Looks like the same latex free Nitrile gloves I use everyday at work, and home at times.)

Heyyy now.  You cannot quote me back to me....

Yes I will get something done.
I did not get much done yesterday as I had family stuff to do.
Today is the day.
Markie thinks the noise may be the flywheel being not tight enough.
We did not have the torque dude and didn't want to use the impact to put it on.
I borrowed the Miester torque from him yesterday, so we shall see.

That is a slick tool.  I need to get one of those.

CatBox:
So I pulled the engine I built, we shall call this the Nacho engine, and torqued the nut to 315 ft/lbs with the torque machine.

Reinstalled the engine and hooked up the needed stuff.  No bueno.
It still has a thunk...thunk...thunk when it runs.
It does sound good and peppy though....

So that was all done by myself in just about 3 1/2 hours.

After lunch it was time to yard that one out and dress the other one to run.
I got the dual single barrels from Markie to put on it but at the time the single was the right choice.
I was running on fumes and the heat of the entire weekend did not help.
We got the engine all dressed and semi clean in all my stuff.
Just before dinner we had it all plumbed and wired and then touched off.

It sounds good, but it may have a noisy valve.
I am going to run the valves today and finish putting all the little junk on.
Then it is on to adjusting the shifter and a test drive....

BuginU2:
How about a video of the Nacho motor so we can hear the nature of the thunk sound?  What area is the thunk coming from?
