  • Time to make the doughnuts....
Yesterday I went out and picked up some used parts to replace the hashed ones in the motor that Mark is going to be a building for me.

It turned out that upon disection the pistons and cylinders were trash, but that was to be expected.  The crank could use a polish and the rods, well they looked like rods.  The heads turned out to be 041's so that is good as they are the bigger intakes at 39mm and the exhaust is still 32mm.  I will be able to keep my heat and header combo for now until i decide that it is time to step up to firebreathing status, and not the kind that smug does either.... :flamethrower:   They will go out for reconditioning to check the guides, seats, and to replace the springs as they had sat in the engine some open and some closed for quite some time.  Oh and a lite fluff and buff for the ports as well.

So on with the build...

Oh and I forgot my camera so just imagine what the inside of an engine looks like for now.  As we build the lump up I will be documenting the process and it will be a beautiful thing...

Then after break in its off to the track for some Duane whoopin' as he is going down along with the rest of you!

No longer will "The Super" be the slowest!  I'll even take on the turbo bus when it gets done....

Well now... I guess this is a good a time as any to announce my next motor project that we will call "Mr Cash".

Yeah - I'm going to see how many different makes of car parts I can put together to build my fuel injected turbo motor.   :headbang:

I think the lumps added a little extra somethin' to the overall performance of the lubrication system.  :2up:

That was just some bars-leaks from the PO   :haha:

It won't be all that bad as I have new pistons and cylinders already and Mark has a cam and lifters for it.

It won't be a 2332 but it will get it on when the loud pedal is matted.

I went out to the yard and brought this in from my stash of large parts.

I even picked at a paint bubble to find nothing of concern.  It will be paint stripped and primered before it goes on the car.

Oh and it was a meer $25 at the swap...

yeah he has been camped out above the washer and dryer for some time and then we had to move the cabinet it was on.  Max has been asking me to get it a new battery for quite sometime and is waiting for me to break out the rest of my old R/C stuff as well.

I have seen yours in your garage.

 :lame:  :haha:

You only have a 1776 and dual carbs, plus you will break you car trying to keep up...

We will see and next race season will be a fun one with the new engines that are popping up.

Oh and when you race you cannot wear your shorty-shorts, pants are required.

Today I replaced the clear tail light bulbs with red ones as the cheap coloring on the lenses I have faded something fierce.

Time to get some transparent paint from the hobby store.

I also spent some time to figure out the routing of a new exhaust for the car.  Mmm forty series flowmaster...
