6v starter and battery

How about $40? If it doesn't work...then free! New ones are $150 at WW. I don't have a 6 volt batt to test with, the one that came with the car is dead, dead, dead. I have plenty of jacks we could get the wheels off the ground, engine spins, but engine and car is mostly dismantled. I guess we could just try to jump it right at the starter. I could throw in a 6volt generator and regulator too, untested though...
Let me know what you think. Sorry for the long delay...just came back to check.

Couldn't you test it with a 12v battery? It will just spin faster won't it?
