Here comes the unwanted child of Volkswagen ;)
Jonathan411:
Hey all! My name is Jonathan, and I have been a Volkswagen tech for the past 10 years. Nearly a VW master Tech, and currently work at Dick Hannah's VW of Portland (which used to be Rey Reece). I work on everything from A3 body styles up to now. If it has a VW badge, I can fix it
I'm here with my second aircooled, my first being a '64 Type 1 which I miss dearly, and my second which is the beloved(?) 1971 VW 411. I got this car from my friend not running and it is in top notch condition for a restore. Even though it's the funky VW, I love it cause the guys are so RARE! I hardly even see them at Bug-In's. Prolly for good reason huh? So this is my current project, I would love to get in contact with some other 411 owners, so if you own one sound off huh?
It brakes for crap right now, and the idler arm bushing needs to be replaced badly, other than that, the engine is running great.
Any tips you guys have for this oddball VDub would be great!

Welcome to the site!
As for having a 411 I know one of the SOVW guys had one for quite a while.
I really like the Brasillia's that they have down in South America.
I also have a set of the 411 quad headlights in my garage that were set aside for a project later on.
More photos please...

I'm doing the idler arm bushing this weekend as well as hopefully getting it to stop properly. LOL. Hopefully just a bleed. But Ill most likely be replacing the entire brake system. I'll take some more pics this weekend! My files are a little too large for the ones I have now.
