I have been meaning to ask for awhile about the gas smell in the bus.
When we bought the bus the guy said he put a new gas cap well maybe so but it turned out that the
cap did not fit therefore in put gas out came the gas and strong smell of gas inside the bus, we replaced the
cap and no longer losing gas :2up: but still getting strong gas smell not like before now my question what can we do
to stop the strong gas smell? In order to be inside the bus and not get sick we have the windows down, we take the dog with us a lot another reason to keep windows down.
Any one have any suggestions?
Thanks Karen

Fuel evaporative emission control, The function of this to store fuel vapors from the fuel tank in a charcoal canister until they can be routed to the intake manifold where they mix with incoming air before being burned in the combustion chamber. The most common symptom of a faulty evaporative emissions is a strong fuel odor. I can suggest to check all hose's coming from the canister, especially the one by the fuel filler. This is the fuel vent return hose. Also check for saturated fuel hoses.

  • Time to make the doughnuts....
On my car it is located under the left rear fender......

....or that is where the bracket is anyway.

Your results may vary.
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

i said excuse me, dang...

Jk does the new gas cap have the gasket on it?  and the fums may be coming through your heater boxes if they are hooked up.   if there is gas fums in the4 engine bay the fan in the shroud will suck them in and blow them into the cab
