Well I flip flopped again..and I think for the better. Decided not to sell the Fasty. What really helped make my decision is watching what determination and motivation can do (Tpricebug). What he did in a matter of like 2 weeks..awesome. So, considering I have about 80% of the parts I need to start building her, I am going for it. She is my new winter concentration and I determined to drive to the Bug Run next year...the project starts tonight

Good for you the man.

You know you still have my spring compressor, right?

Hey I have a spring compressor to, and I have your 8 dowel jig...

I am glad you are going to work on her!  More type 3's right on!

Anything I can do to help?

Yes, along the way, I will need some help..the part of the project that started tonight was getting all the s**t that I have piled in and around her moved and put away to make way to start work. Next week is sanding and prepping for paint..so if anyone wants to help with that, I would be much grateful as I have never done this much of intensive bodywork/prep for a whole body/change of color job..

and yes Peter your spring compressor is still hanging on nail above my bench..anytime you need it, let me know and I will swing it by..I actually forgot about it since I haven't worked on any engine stuff in a long time

Well its been awhile since I've been on and wanted to write an update. I finally got around to deciding on a color to paint her. So that is done. Now I moved to some other stuff. Got her jacked up and on jack stands tonight as well as got all the fenders off. Now just going through and checking over everything and doing some cleaning and then will be prep work for painting. Will try to get some pics posted up tomorrow of my current progress.

Yay! Time to get that thing going!  We have 4 (at least) type 3's in the club, but only 1 is running...

Its been awhile since I have had a chance to work on my car. But with the recent loss os my job a couple weeks ago I know have all the time in the world. So here some recent pics of where I am so far. Just been doing major sanding and body work getting her ready to paint.

Some more bondo work here, also did the bondo where the emblem would go because instead of doing an emblem I am going to have some one pinstripe an emblemin that spot

 :cheers2:

Its great to be able to have time to work on the car!  I live "around the corner" from you...off 55th...and catch a peek of your car every now and then on the way to and from work.  Glad to hear your making headway.  It encourages me in regard to the green and white speed bump in my driveway.
