ok folks, looks like this is the last big event of the summer.. Its a bit a of a drive so you aircoolers have two weeks to get your rides tuned up and as reliable as can be for the trip to eastern washington. if the weather holds maybe we can get a decent cruise line of cars? What day are we all going for? anyone camping or getting a hotel? Its about a four hour drive from portland to Richland. There is a cruise in friday night at the local DQ in Richland. The show is saturday. There is a Autocross event on sunday for the racers.. This could be a good chance to have a club campout friday night? Or we could cruise together, very early, saturday morning. Ideas? Plans?

OK.... so assuming I have a VW that is not spewing oil all over the place I plan on going.

My plan was to take Friday off, head out to Richland in time for the DQ cruise, camp out Friday night, and do the show on Saturday.  I am not staying for the Sunday Autocross. 

However - I might be stopping by Oregon Raceway Park in Grass Valley on the way back.  My dept manager has a side business doing "driver education" on the track.      He offered to give me a ride on the track so long as I don't throw up!    

I'm checking on my towing coverage - I will probably take the bus despite missing a chunk of the case.

I will be going after the young one is done with school. The car will be trailered up, might miss the Friday night gtg, on Sunday after breakfast we will hit the road. I will be with Joel early Saturday helping set up

Mrs and I will be there for Fri night stuff. Where can we get more info about tent camping?

I heard that there is camping at the show site this year. The T&A truckstop is a good place to meet up at. We should be there by 3:30 traffic permitting

Life just happened all over this trip. No road trip for me this weekend

Sad to say I actually won't be making it do to lack of funds and won't be getting Friday off. Always next year!

Due to unforeseen problems at the house. The bug is not ready for the last show of the season. So it's just the truck that is going. I'll be going at mock speed, so if you leave earlier in the day and you break down, text me chances are I haven't already passed you.

My plan is to steal my eldest child away from the Beaverton School District around 2pm and head east.  We'll be driving the bus (which is missing a couple chunks from the case) at the rate of 65mph.  If a train leaves Boston at 8am heading west at 90mph - there is no chance we'll run into each other.

Goal is to be there in time for the DQ cruise-in.  See you there Nacho!
