Re: Annual Beach Cruise
I will be there along with my wife and son. We will bring a dessert. We were wondering if the picnic is going to be in a picnic area with tables or should we bring chairs?

Re: Annual Beach Cruise
Bring chairs for sure. Generally with good (and not super windy) weather we actually drive out and park right on the beach. So bring any chairs or fold-able tables as well as shade devices!

Re: Annual Beach Cruise
MS is having its way with us right now and so we may not be able to make it this year.

The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

Re: Annual Beach Cruise
I would LOVE to, that was the plan... then the Grandmother of our son told us she was going to be in town for her daughter's graduation from college. She wants us to come spend time with her so she can see Nick. Can't blame her, he is an awefull cool kid...
I am still debating with myself... I will need to leave the beach by 3:00 if I do come as we have a fancy dinner to go to at 6:00 anyway...

Re: Annual Beach Cruise
Thank you everyone for that braved the mild Oregon weather for the cruise this weekend. And to the ones that attempted to make it
(I only laugh because it was not me this time
)
The atmosphere was wonderful as well as the people and food. Can't wait for next years cruise!
I did brave the elements and camped out at Ft Stevens. For the price I paid for the site and what the site actually was I was a bit disappointed. But none the less my son and I made the best of it. We hunkered down in one of my smaller tents with a tarp draped over it (which blew off in the wind around 3:30am). We woke up early to go stroll around the Battery Russel and the wreck of the Peter Iredale. We stopped off in Seaside on the way back but the store I wanted to stop in at would not open for a couple of hours and the bumper cars were still closed and didn't know when they would open. So we stopped off and visited with Jeffrey over at the Coastal Hardware and got a large philips screwdriver so that I could limp my wind shield wipers home with.
Also had a run in with J in down town Seaside. What a great weekend!

Re: Annual Beach Cruise
I think those would be my tire tracks from attempting a donut but failed miserably
I think I ended up being the only one needing a push to get out of the sand in our group. First time driving an ACVW on the sand and I'm sure all of the stuff crammed in the back up the car didn't help
These were from the beach before we decided to move to Coffenbury Lake to get out of the wind as it was a bit much again this year.
And one from the pavilion that we took over at Coffenbury Lake. It was quite cozy in there.
I should have taken more pics up at the Battery Russel but it was raining a bit much and didn't want my phone getting too wet. I did how ever take it out and get some pics of the tree frogs or what ever they are. There was lots of them hoping around every where up there.
