I wanted to start a thread so we could let Glenn know he will be missed.  I am sure he will not miss Oregon too much this winter.

I won't post any details, I leave that to you Glenn.  Just know you will be missed. Keep in touch, ok?   :2down:

I can't imagine this thread won't become a roasting of Glenn....   :flamethrower:  considering his affinity for cars that burn.

Random fact - Glenn and I were both on the USS Nimitz together at some point in the 90s.

On a ship - all members of the crew are trained to fight fires.

Somehow - the engine only caught on fire once... (I working the propulsion plant - Glenn worked far away from the engine room)

Glenn could always be counted on to bring hot charcoal to club BBQs.

Some could say that no matter where he went - he brightened up the place.

If you ever needed a light - he was quick to offer one.

The success of the Bug Run in recent years can be attributed to people wanting to see the "jet bug".

At one point,  Tualatin Fire & Rescue offered to sponsor the club.  We were going to get a "Burn 4 - Get 1 Free" deal.

Finally, environmental groups are up in arms over Glenn's car.  I guess developing the first external combustion engine isn't winning them over and might be causing global warming.

Thank you Glenn and Kirsten for hanging out with us for the past few years.  You will be greatly missed.  I will you the very best in this new chapter of your life.  No doubt you will tackle it with the same dedication that you have in all your past endeavors.  :cheers2:

"A roasting of Glen."

 :haha:

Perhaps moving closer to VW nirvana will help his mobile marshmallow roaster issues...

Good luck with the move the man and family.

Peter

Well yes the family and I are moving to the Bay Area. I accepted a job down there so we are in the pack and dash mode right now.

It has been an experiences of a life time being part of the rose City Volksters. Over the past several years we have had some great fun and some heart wrenching experiences. I feel it all has help make my life better overall.

I will miss you all but I will remember the fun that we had. I still have family in the area so we may see a few of you from time to time. If you're ever in the bay area give us a shout and we will make every effort to meet somewhere. I will up date my profile once I have my new contact info...

Did you all notice that Smug is having a "Fire" sale on his extra parts?

I think that Kev will get the fire gremlin since he has purchased the most from Smug...
