I bought the Dasher, got me some 77 VW goodness.  Lovin the hell out of it, neighbors, not so much.  Going to be putting up pics of Todd's "paint job" and it's pimpin progress.  

Anyone know where I can get a muffler nice and cheap? :D

Discount Import Parts is the BEST for parts.  Eds Mufflers is usually pretty cheap as well.

DIP is on hall and scholls ferry.  and when you join the club you get a discount there.  Matt who works there will recognize the dasher and help you out.  just expect for him to want to drive it cuz he fell in love with that car when it was at todds.

by a cheapie muffler from baxters for $15 or so and have someone that is around here on the forum or in the club.  i am not a good welder at all but have a welder or two in my possesion.
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

hey welcome man ... you got a hell of a car there ... i got to drive it to todds house and i fell in love with it too... it's good to hear she went to a good home ... i might have a used dynomax muffler to get rid of after i do the swap the the vr6... it's off of my old tt set up ... cause 2 1/4 is to small for a vr ...
