Hi all, sorry I did not make it to the drags...  It took longer to get my car than I had planned, and my wife went with, so that meant stopping for dinner, getting her home, and by then it was after 8:00.

So I washed the car instead  8)  Man, what a kick in the pants!

I do have a problem though.  The oil symbol flashes occasionally.  The oil was changed, along with the filter and the pressure switch.  Anyone have any ideas?

Did I mention that I am the happiest dude in the dang world??????? :P  :P  :P

Hey, now don't go psycho-analyzing me (lol).  I needed a daily driver for my 42 mile (each way) drive to work!  So why not have fun too????

Check and see if you have to much oil in there Kev. 1/2 qt is WAY to much and will make your oil light flash, if that is the case grab a 19mm socket and get on your back:-). If that is not the case then of course check to see if you have to little (slim chance but check). When you put your oil plug back in make sure of three things

You have a NEW Drain plug washer (Copper)

Its not cross threaded

And that the plug is only tight till it stops then 1/16th of a turn more. DO NOT KILL IT IN THERE!!! Most people do and you will be asking for trouble in the long run. If it's none of those things you need a VAG it may be in the computer.

Do you have any pings or rattles?
No really...I do it for a living.

No pings, rattles,  or other unwanted noise.  It purrs along real nice, and it has PLENTY of power.  The oil thing seems to happen when I turn tight corners, or if I start from a dead stop quickly.  The mechanic who did the oil and filter change said he reset the computer as well.  I just don't know a lot about this engine (a lot? how about nothin?).

I am going to get an extended warranty on it through my credit union...

Oh, I paid 12,900 for it. (no where near blue book, yay!)
