  • Time to make the doughnuts....
It should be here as well...

Oh and we have a meet up the morning of for the people that want to cruise down in a group.

It starts at the Beaverton Fred Meyers near the Starbucks.

We meet up and leave there at no later than 6:45AM. From there we go to the rest stop just after Wilsonville to pick up more people and leave there no later than 7:30 AM.

We ususally get there right around 8:00 AM and roll right on in....

See you there.

Got no camping gear and major back pain.  Will be there on Saturday to enjoy the show!

I'm getting some final stuff together today ... plus dial the fasty in.

I'm going to head down to Salem this afternoon to catch House of Ghia's event.

Thinking of back-roading it to Ore. City to Silverton....plus the fasty hates freeway speeds. :)

I would love to but I'm coming down on battery power. So I'm taking the scenic back roads to avoid traffic so I can stay off the brake lights and get there before dark.

Well it is now 8:14pm. I just made it home from Woodburn. Broke down a few hundred yards from Mike's house. Walked there and got a ride back to the bug to tow it back to his place.

Turns out I had a few tight valves as one of the problems. The other was that the electronic ignition system had some bare wires that crossed which left me stranded. We didn't find out until we were removing the electronic ignition components to put in the points and condenser that I had in the car. So it is running again and I made it home.

I am as red as a lobster now and I have splitting headache. I feel kind of sick to my stomach and a bit dizzy. Next year I will tight a string around my finger to remind me that there is sun block available.

I'm off to take a nap...

JB sounds like a case of dehydration and possible heat exhaustion. Drink lots of fluids, gatorade and water. Sorry Beer will only make it worse...

Beer is for sissies.... I'm making good use of the Crown I have stashed at home and all the Pepsi I brought home from the show  :cheers2:

I took a cold shower and I'm currently marinating in Aloe. I'm been drinking a decent amount of water today but I have not ate much. I'm going to get something in my stomache before I take as aspirin so I can head to bed.

Np J. And thank you for your contributions in helping spread the good word about the show on the various sites and such.  :2up:

Just remember ( I cant help it I'm a nurse) both alcohol and caffiene contribute to dehydration....

and I had a blast today as well.. Kiddo was wasted by 12:30 though so I could not stay the whole time like I wanted to.  Made a few purchases for the square.  Still no carbs though....  some guy had a set of Empi type 3's uesd... for 275.00, which is 25.00 less than brand new through DIP.

There were many cool cars there this year. Nice to see at least 3 notches, and 1 type III ghia.   I scored a fifth Western wheel for my spare.

Sorry I wasnt able to hook up with Duanne, Peter, and others.  Having the kid along really changes things.  This was a first time for me in that regard.

I spotted you whilst I was parking swappers, but was busy with the task at hand.

I lathered up with sunblock at the beginning and wore my giant sun hat and am super happy to report I am sun burn free.  Even after we left and went to a long baseball game neither one of us are crispified.

I did get to listen to the TOOL guy and a dude that came in after cry about the swap space they had received because they came to a busy busy show looking for the best spot at 10:30am.

I just walked away....

We had a swell time out there today.
