It is gone.... yay!
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

yes, it is a 1600, I think. at least if it is stock...  It needs plenty o' work, but it is a decent solid start, not a lot of rust, and I did de-rust and paint the floors and rear trunk.  Needs some patching of floor, battery area, etc.

'69 was last year for cool small tail lights and bullet fronts.

I have all glass, earlier low-backs that need to be rebuilt, and back seat with fold down armrest.

I can take some pics this weekend if you want.

Sure, I'de love to come and see it. I'm buisy this sunday, but have next wednesday off. If that would work let me know. It sounds like a good aircooled prodject so long as there is no cancer rust. ?-what are you planning to do with your 1835?????

Yes, I should be available Wed.  The only serious rust is in the pan, but that is an easy fix...

As far as the 1835, I am hoping to sell if for 600$, or trade it for a sunroof and cash, or a narrowed beam and cash...

Would love to have it. But the wife would kill me. I'm already trying to sell off my Ghia and my Tent trailer ...

Is the engine seized? Or does it turn over?
