Just wondering if anyone here is interested in a work party for an outoftowner that I have invited down to pdx to help her out. You know, damsel in distress kind of thing. She's a single mom with a mk2 jetta that needs a little work done to it. She will be in town sat 23rd. we will start working around 9am. There will be a bbq for those who attend and provide help, byob though. Let me know if you want to attend (IM), I will send you directions to my house. Hope some of you want to help out, if not that's ok too. Have fun ya'll, Rob. We are working on Her car on Sunday!!!!!

What does she need done? I "Think" I am free that day and would be willing to help. I would however like to know what I am getting myself into:-) Are we talking Oil Change and fluids, or are we talking install a new wiring Harness and throw in some CVs and a timing belt, just to make it really suck:-)

She needs:
Drive axles replaced-I will do(do everyday at work)
Alt bracket fixed
Alt harness repaired(wiring)
Poss. reseal transaxle????(don't know how bad leaks are-may just need bolts tightened)
Poss. stereo install(easy wiring)
There were a few other simple things, can't remember?????
Anyhow, The more dirty things (driveaxles) I have NO problems doing myself. I would just like to have more help just in case. I'm not a mechanical GOD. I'm not perfect???? Even if it's just moral help, that's ok too.

Sorry, can't make that day, previous obligations.

I WILL be joining the ranks of the water cooled as well, soon as the dude finds me a GTI....
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

Soon as I get a rear seal for the bunny I am going to take you up on that. I need a false floor and the install of an AMP and Sub that I have laying around I have some ideas that I can run by you.
No really...I do it for a living.

car audio isnt to hard to learn. i mean i figured it out. just depends on what your going for really. you can do the simple things that only take a matter of minutes to the mor complex that may take a day or like my lay out that took just about a week while working on it after work. and it takes a little bit of finding what works good, and dosent work good (most the time the hard way$$$$)

ya who ever wants help with car audio. just let me know. im always up for doing some. just ran out of wire though so i am probably going to buy a spool to have enough for friends cars.

OK, here is how you get to my house. I-5 (north or south) take Tualatin exit(will also mention something about coast/sherwood/nyberg rd). GO WEST. Look for street called TETON, Turn left. If any of you know where Waldenberg performance is, I'm the other way off of tualatin/sherwood road. When you get to the first stop sign at the top of Teton, go straight. You'll See my house(lt blue/brown trim). For those who can't follow my directions, cal 503-318-2255(if I don't answer right away, LEAVE message) I will call back. Hope to see some of you there. ROb.
