Does the tailpipe act as a wheelie bar also

??
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

No carb yet.

So I did some other stuff today.  Put in the spark plugs and wires.  Oh, topped off the oil and connected all the wires.

And I put on the rear apron.  Looks much better.

Gonna be a late night Mark? Should I go outside and watch for the fireball arise from your place or watch you and your bus fly over the moon?

  • What?
 :stupid:

Ohhh, I can feel the wheelie fest coming very, very soon.....

Mark, I have a good hack saw to take a few inches off that exhaust for you. Does that thing protrude out past the bumper?

Well this is taking for-friggin'-ever.  Custom making carb linkage is a pain.  So, the carb is in.

And it RUNS!

http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll319/TotallyVw/?action=view&current=DSCN0401-1.mp4

It's a short movie 'cuz I noticed a little oil pooling up underneath.  Uh, oh.  Well, I did not get a valve cover fastened correctly for when I went to pop it off it popped into place.  Perfect!

Oh, and it's loud.  I'm gonna need a muffler.  And how come every high volume fuel pump I get is loud?  I may need to swap the Carter for a Holley.  It's as loud as the pump in my race car.  Oh well.  I still have some work to do for the Alternator is not working, the clutch needs adjusting and the linkage is far from perfect.  Could be another late night tonight (it's technically "morning" right now.
