 :crig4:

I found this cool tech item that I think you will all enjoy reading about and duplicating for your own bad selve's....

http://www.aircooledtech.com/tools-on-the-cheap/soda_blaster/

I myself will be using it this weekend to clean up my new to me carbs as they have the white crusty stuff on them, but the insides are spotless.

 :headbang:

go for it you know you want to.

Hey Peter or Ken, I have no compressor but I do have a used carb that desperately needs cleaned. Any chance I can bring it over sometime(soon hopefully) so I can get this thing rebuilt and on the car? I'll even supply my own baking soda  :2up:

I'm doing the Mt. St. Helens cruise tomorrow, then friends coming over tomorrow night, so Sunday would be the only day this weekend. I can also do any weeknight if that works... :dontknow:

I have a big compressor.... just ask
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

By the way, winco food sells baking soda bulk and way cheaper than the box....  I am going to try this on some of my aluminum engine components...   :2up:

I was in a hurry when I went to my buddy's house so I just grabbed the box we had at home. Next time, I would use a bulk size tub of soda, then use some type of housing to do the blasting in so as to be able to reuse the soda. Oh,...make sure you wear goggles and I recommend a mask. It may be safe stuff, but it tastes like doo-doo  :rotflmao:

I recently cleaned/refurbished my carb, but I soaked it overnight in lacquer thinner, it came out nice and clean.
