I will reply to this as I have been accused of not monitoring and posting on the website enough. Honestly, if everyone would keep their personal issues off the forum we would be fine. BTW, this is not directed at any one person but is meant to be for everyone. This website is a means of communication for a real VW club. If someone feels the need to post something negative at all then they should not even post. If you feel slighted by a post your best recourse is to ignore them or call them up outside the website and resolve your issues privately. It is too easy to hide behind a monitor and spit out all kinds of nastiness. Rebuilding the website will not work if we continue to air our personal differences here. This website and our club are about having fun and working on our cars together and we need to get back to just that. I will put everyone on notice that even this thread can get locked if it turns into a debate about who is right or wrong. Let's all get back to what we love and that is our VW's:-)

Randy, I'm afraid your words have already been said too many times before and have fallen on deaf ears each and every time.

The written word is a powerful tool, and has proven to be too powerful for this forum to handle; the same songs keeps getting sung and the same story keeps getting told. Unfortunately for the RCV, web-based communication has proven to be a loaded weapon that has been passed around without the responsibility on how to handle said weapon. The damage done up to this point has proven irreparable.

Here is my official proposal to be voted on at next months meeting:
Leave the website, using the homepage as a web based advertisement for the club. Only allow login privileges for dues paying members so they can have access to contact information for other dues paying members(who choose to post such info). I think we all can agree that most people already have the contact info for the other members that they associate with on a regular basis? Delete and remove all forum related posts and posting abilities. Rely on the monthly meetings for members to come together and stayed informed of club happenings.

If we take this club back to its roots, it may have a chance of being a respectable organization once again.

Second. At the last meeting there was gentleman (drives the black fastback) sorry forgot your name. He makes websites. Maybe he can build a new one for us. I agree with shmiddy, that song Randy is playing us getting old.

Shmiddy, I actually agree with you and if the club is okay and votes for that I would be all for it. Let those that love the forums go elsewhere as there are many others that can accomodate them. Bring this up at the next meeting and lets see how it turns out.

So I find out your the one Randy that deleted me form this place.  Cangrats to you way to throw your new found weight around.  No class at all. Look foward in meeting you friend...  cause I am the one that starts all the issues with this place you call a club.
