Hey all, I wanted you to know that my better half and I had an awesome time!  The event was fun, and it gave us both a chance to meet lots of members.  I just wish there had been a few more air cooled cars there...

Hey, how about a day trip to the coast?  I have yet to drive ANY of my VW's to the beach!

It was awesome...all except for us going to the gas station before we left and the Rice Burner next to us driving away with the nozzle still in their car.  It flew out, hit me in the head, and left a big scratch and dent on my friends cabrio.  Luckily we got the plate number and the cops are looking out for them and gave us a case number.

An awesome event.  Thanks to Anthony and Nick from Auto Zone as well.  I had a great time.  Sounds like this event could happen again.  If we want to participate (dare I say "partner") in a second GTG I think we should form a planning committee.  Bring out a big barbeque and a bunch of dead animal to grill up and have some serious fun.  This was a good testing of the water so I think this could be something we do again.  We signed up three new members last night and really got our name out there.

Thanks everyone.

HEY!! I just uploaded a bunch of pictures to my gallery from last night!  Unfortunately I uploaded them in chronological order, and much to my dismay, it displays them with the last one uploaded.. first! Guh!

Had an awesome time seeing everyone! It was worth my nearly 100 mile round trip!! (Okay more like 90 miles)

Hans kept up pretty good too, right Todd?? eh? eh???

Which reminds me, are we trying to set up a gtg in Dundee? I think we may need to submit that one for a committee review!

Thanks so much to Mark for bringing the barbecue and grub!

I think the recruiting efforts are working out great too!! I look forward to Tuesday's meeting!

I also look forward to more GTG's especially this summer at the Wednesday night Cruise-ins at PIR!!

AND Thanks to Shawn and Amanda from Vancouver (trying to get them to join RCV) for the stop-off in Newberg, the beer was cold and band was a riot!! (Think that lead singer got laid?? "SHOT TO THE HEART!!"  )

Cheers!

I would be up for helping plan another event, I have a few friends that were there last night that may be looking to join in the near future as well.

And since there is concern about me...I am fine.  the only pian I was in was my neck kinda hurt from trying to dodge the thing. Luckily it hit mostly my hair so the nozzle itself didnt hurt me  :D

A link to my pics are up in the other thread...

ohhhh stinky gas smell in your hair.

good that you are ok.
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

Yes just so we are all clear on this. If I happen on a rare occasion to Blow by you...that does not always mean I have any idea where I am going, or that you should follow me.
