I bought a couple of  carbs at the swap meet for a buck each
both are in good shape
but need to be cleaned and new seals

besides getting the carb rebuild kit

how do I clean the carb itself?

you can buy a carb dip solution in a can at the local Schucks.

Dismantle the carb and then put the metal parts in the can and let it sit overnight. Then the next day pull them out and clean with a carb clean spray.

I highly suggest gloves. The stuff is nasty.

Also do it in a VERY well ventilated area, outside is best, it is HIGHLY toxic.  I DONT want you as a patient due to brain injury!
Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

Your welcome to come by during the week and we can rebuild it here. I've got the carb dip and I've done quite a few PICT carbs.  Sadly, the next 3 weekends are out while I am at Sand lake and then Disneyland.   :D
