Brian do you know if any help is needed setting up?  I know you dont get off work till later and I can get there as early as needed.

The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

That is by far one of my favorite books/movies.  I love stephen king!
and to the g2g content...I may be trying to get a group together to criuse down there...not sure on a place to meet since a lot of people arent going the same route we are.  I was planning on going straight down 99w even though the traffic will be bad.

Hey everyone!
So the manager of the Autozone recommended that we come down Hwy 47 South out of Forest Grove to Hwy 99 to get there insterad of going Hwy 99 the whole way. I would rather travel in a group though.

So whatever route everyone agrees on...
and where ever everyone agrees to meet up I can be there.

Being in North Portland (think P.I.R.) it is all just as far for me.

SO what does everyone plan to do? Anyone? Beuller?

I know I was planning on going from Matts work (DIP) striaght there on 99w the whole way.  I would want to cruise as a group but going to forest grove it pretty out of the way for us.

It's ALL out of the way for me! So I understand!
Where is the DIP out west? (I go to the one on McLoughlin)
Sounds like the best place to meet for a Hwy99 run?

its in right on the corner of hall and scholls ferry.  if you know where the washington square mall is its right by there.  most people know where it is becuase of the sports page bar being in the same strip mall.

  • I figured since it wasn't being used I'd try it on

DIP would be good for me as well, but....why leave at 5:00 for an event that starts at 8? I mean it's good to be early but do we want to be two hours early?

I get off at 5 and was thinking I'd head home for a little R&R before the big adventure. I figured on leaving around 6:30-6:45 thereby missing a majority of the traffic and still rolling in early.

Other Thoughts?

I was planning on heading out around 5:30, getting there early so we can get the spots Brian is going to be saving for us.  And it starts at 7 not 8 like normal.

Right now I gotcha now it's all clear to me. I would have been late then as I thought it started at 8, Good thing someone is paying attention. Are you going to save spots for the whole Club? I could give you four traffic cones and the banner if you wouldn't mind putting them up when you get there. Will they allow Club parking? Also thought I'd ask, is this an All Car get together or VW? I never thought to ask before.

Mark and I are going to cruise out of here at 6 from Hillsboro. If anyone else wants to join us they are welcome.
