Pass Time on Speed

Anyone watch Pass Time on the Speed Channel?  For those that don't it is a game show in which contestants are asked to guess the quarter mile time of a car.  The one that is closest wins.

Did you catch the 100th episode?  It was on last night.  They shot it in Vegas.

Anyway - one of the regulars on the show hates trying to guess how fast VWs will run.  So they brought out VW Paradise's dragster and it ran a 6.65 at 211mph.  Pretty impressive in my book. The guy that hates guessing VW times nailed the time.

Neat show -I wish they'd run a VW only episode again.

I'm pretty sure that was the fastest time of the night.  The Top-Fuel Alcohol guy had to shut down before the end of the track and ended up running a mid 7 (they contestants were betting on a low 4 second run).

The VW Paradise team also sprung a fuel leak during the burn-out.  They fixed it right there at the lights and went for it.

0 to 200mph (or 300 in the case of top-fuel) in a quarter mile is insane!  You'd have to be in pretty good shape to take that kind of abuse to your body.
