Yeah - got the built version. According to the tracking number it is now within 20 miles of my house.

I have the plug and can deliver it at anytime.  I'll give you a ring sometime.

groovy the man.

so then it will be at your house on friday at 4:59 pm. then you have to install it and then tune it and take it for a test run around the block all before your friday night departure for the bug run campout.

Look ma... no coil wire!

Well no pictures yet, but the EDIS/Megajolt system is working.  The package (megajolt module) arrived in the mail this afternoon.  I finished wiring the module up, rebuilt my spark plug wires (or at least two of them) and had it running for the first time by 7pm.

What better way to test the system out than take it for a spin to the Bug Run meeting.... Saturday should be fun.... Dude!  Where's your distributor?

Talk about committing myself to the cause.... drove it to work this morning and realized about 10 miles into the trip that in fact I did leave the coil wire at home.  My redundant backup isn't much use today!  ;D

but it gave you no issue so its all good.  plus the EDIS has its own backup, so your extra is like the third string...

Went over to Peter's house today.... when I got there we realized there was something missing...
No telling what the engine is up to... so I needed something to keep an "eye" on things....
The question is - how many people are going to take a double look when/if they see this motor...

It is working pretty good so far.  The old pulley was pretty much worn out and flinging oil a bit. The new one is a heavy pulley with the trigger drilled into it. Should be nice to have almost the same amount of weight on both ends of the crank.

Yeah - did the drilling myself.  Not really a good idea in hindsight.  The sensor needs to have "clean" signals for EDIS to work.  First two attempts to get the missing tooth drilled correctly did not work out so well.  A dremel bit did a nice job of cleaning it up today.
