Ok so I thought I should make a post to give Kev the apology that I owe him, as well as correct the specs on my new engine as I am no longer building what I thought I was building.
So...First things first. Kev I owe you an apology you had stated in an earlier post that the engine you were built by Mike was a 1968cc, and I stated that it was a 1904cc I believed that because that is in fact what I was told by Mike, he built another engine like that for Brego and it was a 1904cc and maybe got things confused or blended together or something. Well anyway it turns out when I pulled the engine apart and checked for my own damn self you would be correct and the jugs were 92s thereby making the engine a 1968cc motor. So I apologize for doubting what you said, and in the future will check things like that for myself before speaking up.
So now to my engine. As I said I was under the impression it was to be a 2007cc turns out it will be 2074cc bigger number probably very little in performance or horsepower.
So this is what I am ending up with
2074cc
Scat 78mm forged crank
Ingle 125 Cam
Scat Rods
92mm Jugs (Not sure on the make)
Ingle Valves
Very lightly worked heads 40 x 35.5 (Grandpa Mel's special grind)
Scat 1.25 Rockers and "HD" racing shaft
Holley Electric Fuel Pump
Webber 40s
Oil System is Full flow (Machined in the case) it uses a Melling O-Ring pump with a Berg plate. That flows into a thermostat that stays closed until temp reaches 175 deg. at which time it opens and lets oil flow to the 16 pass Mesa cooler with fan, the cooler has a switch that turns the fan on at 190 deg. It leaves the cooler and flows through the filter and back to the case. The system holds approx. 8qts. of oil and will "hopefully" keep the engine running at a constant 190 deg. I will also be incorporating air flaps at the intakes at the rear to increase airflow to the engine compartment and over the cooler.
Ignition is going to be a Gene Berg Stinger system with idle control and adjustable rev limiter

"supposedly" it was THE poop back in the day. I have no personal experience but I have read about them at Bergs site and there is quite a bit to be found about them online. Gene Berg will still work on it even though they are no longer made and you can still for the time being get parts so I figure I'd add a little Old School Hotness to the engine. I am not sure what the HP gain from such a thing is, but the thought of being able to drop the limiter to 3500 rpm at a stop light just for the sake of scaring the living hell out of the ricer next to you should be priceless.
All in all it should be a cool engine, I think it would go like Hell in a bug, but seeing as it is going in a bus I think that's going to take a bit of the Umph out of it. As long as I can cruise down the freeway doing the speed limit and have enough to pass if I want and go up a hill at speed I will be happy.
