Sooooo. Since I have never been to one of these what should I expect besides trash talking and parts flying from cars? So we only have 1 lane so there is no head to head runs? And are we allowed 1 passenger? And are we open to invite other people in with vw's? I have a lady friend from school I think that would love to bring her new beetle for fun. I was telling her about it. And I have a friend from down south that may come up as well and bring his water cooled. And when should we show up and how late does it normally go?

Keep in mind, the "trash talk" is really just pokin fun, no hurtful intent.  more for gettin people pumped for the event.

so far we haven't had any breakages (knock on wood).  what they have done previously is they set aside a staging lane for our "gathering" (members and guests alike) and they in turn let our lane run together, so basically we would be head-to-head with one of our own.  the passenger thing is a rule set by the NHRA and the track, and if I am correct, according to the NHRA any car travelling 14.99 and slower may have a passenger, but they must sign a liability waiver just like the driver.  as for how the track does it, i am not sure and you would have to ask.  they may have a rule that supersedes that.  I know I took my wife on a couple runs in the baja, but that was at woodburn.

we would be meeting there at 6 and i think the track is open til 11 (better check that).  and as far as I know friends/family is welcome too, Duane, could you chime in here?

well considering my car stock supposedly run's the quarter mile in the 16's I'm fairly sure I won't hit the 13.99 mark since my car is not even running as well as it should haha

its not even a fair fight.  hmm 93 hp against my hmmm what was it 50 hp.
The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

Yeah - friends and family (and anyone that drives a VW) are welcome.  Opens at 6pm and closes around 11pm.  At 9pm I think the noise level rules go into effect so alot of the louder cars will leave around then.

If you beat me in the Bunny I shall bow before you and kiss your feet...

But more importantly when I win what sorts of shame shall I put you thru?

How could you make me feel bad I drive a 93 horsepower car? If your 16v does not beat me you need more than a tune up! :P
