Hi guys, thought I would start a little old blog here, about the 68 Square.

I am leaning towards BumbleBee as her name, as she is going to be yellow and black!

I want to thanks those who came out to work on her today:  Ryan B, Jeff, Duanne, Paul.  You guys are awesome!  Thanks to these guys MANY holes were filled today, including big patches in the cargo area.

Many more holes to go, but not as many anymore!

Yes it was!  I learned a LOT today about welding, bodywork, etc.  We will be working on it again in 2 weeks from today, all are invited!

Well, I felt inspired today, after watching the awesome welding yesterday. So I dragged out Ryan's welder, and did some patching.  I tried some tricky parts too, around the wheel well.  My skills are definitely lacking!  Ryan's welds are way smoother than mine...

Every bit I can get done helps me get that much closer!

I will need to pull the body from the pan if anyone wants to help!

Here is what I want it to look like.  Looks like I will have 8 spokes under it for a while at least.  Now, I also want black rallye stripes, and maybe a wide stripe along both sides as well, not sure about that...

So, after spending a good bit of my days off this week learning to weld (good old trial and error, and help from the above mentioned friends) I no longer have holes or bad metal in the cargo bed area of Bumblbee!  There is still a TON of work to do, but it will come in time!  Thanks again to Ryan for the loan of the welder.

Probably saturday morning.  I have my game group coming over in the afternoon.  You could work on the car all day if you wanted too!   :D

Well, I made a boo boo today... I primed and painted the cargo deck yesterday, which went fine.  So.... today I thought, "hey, I have a few minutes before I go to work, lets spray this bed-liner stuff on so it can dry while I'm gone."  Apparently a bad choice, as it started crackling like crazy!  So, I am not sure if it is a compatability issue, or me not giving the paint (rustoleum brush-on) enough time to dry.  Oh well, back to the wire wheel on Saturday...
