Hey Jeff, do you have a sub and amp combo? I'm just looking for something inexpensive that sounds decent. What do you think of Hifonics as a brand?

Kenwood KAC-859 5 channel

speaker-level inputs
anti-thump circuit for quiet turn-on
speaker short, thermal overload, and DC protection
extra-large noise filters
three sets of gold-plated preamp inputs
signal-to-noise ratio 100 dB
independent power supply for subwoofer leaves 4-channel power unaffected by demands of the subwoofer
50-200 Hz continuously variable low-pass crossover, 18 dB/octave (subwoofer channel)
selectable (80 Hz, 150 Hz) high-pass crossover, 12 dB per octave (A/B channels)

the 5 channel listed will run 4 speakers at 40 rms and a sub aswell at 120rms at 4 ohm. or 4 speakers at 60 watts aswell as a sub at 150 watts at 2 ohm load

this one amp would run a sub and all four speakers

The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

I thought you only had like a $300 stereo; It is an ACVW after all what do you need all those speakers for? Are you not the guy that said anything other than a basic stereo in an ACVW is crazy? Now your out shopping Big Watt amps for multiple Subs and such, but you think a carputer is to much?
No really...I do it for a living.

hmmm i was told to only run one sub with the one i have....

its NIB under the bed for like ten years as all of my cars are to freaking leaky to install it.  ahh to be young and full of disposable income and no real worrys again.  I guess I am just glad I hold onto things for use later.....

at the price i paid for the amp i have i choose not to find out, as they are no longer around.  it should be plenty for me as im not going to the db drags just yet...

and if it isnt well i'll just have to add another scraficial amp to the mix :o

Nothin' better than the old Punch series.  Friend of mine set up his F250 with nothing but Rockford Fosgate equipment and it kicked you in the chest... hard.  This would have been back in the early '90's.  (that's right, I'm efin old)  :P :P :P
