The worst performance mod is whatever you're limited to because you convinced yourself (or others) that anything bigger or faster was too extreme for a street car.

Who knew that a cheap little car designed for the masses at the whim of an evil dictator could be so very cool more than 6 decades later?

That my friend is a First year GTi in PERFECT condition.

Thats it!!! I'm officially insulted. Can I move to have this man forever stricken from our forums to be known as "he whose name is not spoken"????

That is actually my 1983 Rabbit GTi (First Year GTi officially a classic).

It's too late Kev. You can't suck up now and expect it to be all forgiven.  "Hey Todd, look at the shinny thing!"  :P

Brand Spanky new GTI will get you 25-32 with a 1.8T plenty of power and a lot a really cool fluff. Brand new Rabbit will get you 22-30 with a 2.5 and a lot of spunk (150 HP and about 170 torque 8O ).

Older Rabbit in the Diesel will get you 45 to 50 And I may know where there is a puss one for sale. An older GTI will get you between about 25 to 32 depending.....If you put a fat CAM in it and drive like a punk (Not that I know anyone like that   ) you'll get about 22. If you get a stock  Oldschool Rabbit youll get between 28 and 35 depending on if you love it right.

GTI'S Are the Bomb!!!!
